FilterIN™ catalytic filter media for the removal of iron, manganese, arsenic and radium is a dark gray filter media made with proven technology for the removal of iron, manganese, arsenic and radium from groundwater and domestic water supplies.
- The FilterIN™ surface is coated with pure synthetic manganese dioxide, which acts as a catalyst for the redox reaction of iron and manganese.
- FilterIN™’s quartz sand core allows it to withstand water, have low silica, TDS and hardness without breaking down.
- FilterIN™ protects and pretreats all other water treatment systems. systems from biological fouling of iron and manganese, effectively extending filter run times and reducing the need for oxidizer.

During aeration / ozonated water comes into contact with the surface of its granules, dissolved impurities are oxidized, oxidation products fall out of solution and settle on the granules together with suspended particles and colloidal aggregates that clarify and deodorize the water. (Residual ozone is completely decomposed on FilterIN™ granules).
Additional operations (maintaining the pH of the water at 7 – 8.5 and dosing additional oxidants – sodium hypochlorite or potassium permanganate) allow the use of FilterIN™ for the treatment of heavily polluted water. The most well-known and popular brands on the world market (GreenSand Plus, Aquamandix, BIRM, Pyrolox, Katalox, etc.) are manufactured in the USA and Western Europe. FilterIN™ is the only competitive domestic analog of such catalysts. Its quality is not worse, but it is much cheaper and lasts longer.
